The CCTV system covering the external areas of the site has been upgraded to provide a more reliable system that is also capable of expansion in the future.
Fire risk assessments have been completed for all the blocks at Brock End. These confirm the “Stay Put” policies for the modern blocks and the “Leave” policy for the two older blocks at Betjeman House and Vilett House. The risk assessment confirmed that fire alarm systems are not necessary in the modern blocks but should be retained in the older blocks with a “leave” policy in place. A drainage system has been installed to aid the flow of water into the drain, reducing the risk of flooding in this area of the car park.

The street lighting has now been fitted with LED bulbs, which will be more cost effective and energy efficient.
The Fascia & Guttering Company have carried out repairs to the guttering on Betjemen House in January 2018. They have also repaired and cleaned down pipes to the front of the building.
